August Powell Trip

I've said it before, but Lake Powell is my favorite place on Earth! I love how every trip is so different from the last one. I love looking up at the forever tall red canyon walls and swimming in the warm water. The weather was perfect on this trip - not too hot or cold. Tyler and I got to see the Defiance House Anasazi ruins, which he'd never seen before. I can't imagine how those cliff dwellers really lived up there!

I love the people who come the most! We got to spend time with my family and Betsy & Grandpa Dell. On Friday the main channel water was really smooth and Grandpa decided to really see how fast his boat could go.... we were flying as he took us on his version of the Lake Powell tour. We also got to visit with our long time family friends, the Burrows. We love their family so much, and we always have a fun time laughing and talking. It has been four years since our last trip together.

Oh and how could I forget.... one of the trip higlights was turning my sister Cailie into a mermaid. Check her out!
