Hogle Zoo
I got to go to the zoo yesterday with my brother, sisters, mom, grandma, and cousins Ellie, Tyler, Ryan and Justin. We rode the train, the carousel (Ellie got her zebra- yeah!), ate lunch, attended the bird show and a show about animal senses. I learned that snakes have a forked tongue to help them sense food better (that is if prey go to the left they can sense it and same for the right). The instructor asked everyone to stick their tongue out and see if they could "sense" their neighbor. I got unexpectedly licked by my cousin!!! :)
I loved visiting the giraffes! I think it stems back from being about second grade and thinking that they understood what it was like to be freakishly tall too! I had a wonderful (and hot) time at the zoo. Thanks family!
