Celebrating Independance

This year we went up to Hanson's for a dutch oven feast on Saturday July 2. Tyler's brother Adam is becoming a Dutch Oven Master Chef and makes some mean bacon potatoes. That night we went to the outdoor concert with Deanne at the Homestead. The singer was a total geek and kept forgetting the words to his songs so he would monologue until he remembered them, but we managed to enjoy ourselves. I just feel bad I forgot my camera. Then on July 4th, my little brother CalDon called to see if he could come visit. We fired up the BBQ, settled into the new couch and watched "The Man Who Knew Too Little". It was hilarious! After CalDon headed home, Tyler and I jumped in the new truck and went about 2 blocks up the street to watch the fireworks from our corner of the valley. We caught several city shows and then all the neighborhood fireworks from about 5400 S to Utah County from our vantage point. I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful place and to have the freedoms we enjoy. God Bless America.
