Hazel is officially 5 months old and sucking on everything! She especially loves books, tags and her thumb. She sucks her thumb sideways sometimes as to not obstruct her view of the world around her- it is hilarious!
She has also discovered feeling textures and making noises by touching things. Her favorite seems to be rubbing her hands across the kitchen floor and hearing the sound her palm makes. In fact, last night for family night we "found 5 new textures" for our activity. She seemed to like feeling the wall the best! She also likes the noise the door stopper/springs make and loves to whack them and hear the "boing" sound. She continues to roll and pivot (no crawling yet), but she loves to sing and coo!
This past week has been a busy one. We attended my great-grandma Audrey's funeral on Saturday and my in-laws spent the night on Sunday so we could take them to the airport bright and early on Monday morning. With all the excitement, Hazel didn't sleep very much over the weekend. I'm quite enjoying her naps yesterday and today. The little gal is tuckered out!
